Privacy Policy

What we process

• Files you upload: files are processed to create a ZIP archive. We do not keep permanent copies.
• Temporary storage: the resulting ZIP and a small metadata file (filename, mime, expiration time) are stored under a random token for up to 10 minutes solely to enable the download.
• Technical data: standard HTTP logs (IP, user-agent) for security and troubleshooting.
• Consent preferences: we store your banner choice about advertising cookies (accepted/declined) for up to 12 months.
• Cookies/ads: when we show ads (e.g., Google AdSense) third parties may set cookies or use device identifiers to measure and personalize ads, subject to their own policies.

How long we keep data

ZIP files and related metadata auto-expire and are deleted after the first download or 10 minutes—whichever comes first.

Security

• Transfers use HTTPS/TLS.
• ZIP creation runs server-side; artifacts are stored in a private temporary directory.
• Access requires a random, unguessable token.

Third-party services

We use Google AdSense to monetize the public portions of the site. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to track impressions, combat fraud, and personalize ads. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Advertising & cookies

• We display a consent banner before loading Google AdSense tags in jurisdictions that require it.
• Accepting the banner loads the AdSense script and may enable personalized or contextual ads.
• Declining loads only essential cookies that keep the service functioning; ads remain disabled until you opt in.

Your choices

• Do not upload sensitive or illegal content.
• Manage consent through the banner in the footer, or clear the freezip_ads_consent entry from your browser to reset it.
• Control Google’s ad personalization at adssettings.google.com or opt out via aboutads.info.
• You may clear cookies in your browser or use private browsing.

Your rights

• Request deletion of any remaining temporary data connected to your tokens.
• Ask for a copy of server logs containing your IP and user-agent, within our technical limits.
• Request that we stop processing personal data where applicable privacy laws grant you that right.

Children’s data

FreeZip is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Report privacy issues or abuse

Contact rgkcrm@gmail.com if you need us to delete residual logs, report unauthorized content, or raise a privacy question. Include download or extraction tokens plus timestamps so we can locate temporary files before they expire. We typically respond within 48 hours.
